Ideally the MA should be a little larger than the TB, but in reality, anywhere close will work. Honestly with your combo a 65 or 70 mm TB would work better than a 75 mm.

I just got a 99 mustang GT OBII MAF that is tuned to 30lb injectors. It looks like I need an adapter plate to change the square side to a circle so it can go in line into my cold air intake, in fender, setup. I also believe I need an adapter to make the 90 maf plug fit a 99 plug.

The other route I see is cutting the plug off my old one and just soldering the wires to the new MAF. I can then saw off the square adapter. Sounds a little hackerish.

Any advice on direction or scrapping the whole idea and just buying a maf from late model resto that fits with 30 lb setup?
