cant afford the stall or suspension mods at the moment. so it maybe a shift kit and gears. 3.73s or 4.10s? there will be good amt of hwy driving.
itll suck being in overdrive a lot sooner and longer, but hopefully performance is worth it

4.10s I actually agree with for once! You can get a dacco 3500 stall for about 280$ a pa vlv body for about 250$ and gears for about 150$ that's almost a full second under 700$ but you will need sticky tires though. A carrier overhaul or upgrade isn't needed since 180 est hp hasn't hurt it at all. I ran a dacco for 2.5 yrs spraying 150 on it and it finally gave up close to the 3rd yr. But that was week after week of nitrous use.

well let's see look at that 60foot....a small stall is needed as well as a nice valve body with OD lockout and a trans break would liven it up...putting that car on a diet as well as some 3.73-4.10 gear and a new clutch pak put in while it's out..a trans cooler is also a must.. all kinds of small tricks to do on these cars...you can trick the coolant sensor for more fuel..etc
Took my lx hatch aod, to the track for first time. Stock, besides explorer intake and h pipe. Motor feels really strong, yet I was spanked by my buddy. By the car I sold to him lol. His gt hatch, stock besides a cai, pulleys, mild shift kit was running 15.0-15.2. He does have 3.27s. My new to me lx, only ran a pitiful 15.6 with 2.5-2.6 60ft times. It just had a full tune up and timing is at 12degrees. Stomping it from the line, since it would not break loose the tires anyways with the 2.73s it has.
What should I look into? is it the gears and worn out trac-lok holding me back or what. Would adding the pulleys, and shift kit and gears help?
Any AOD owners who have stock times with 2.73s in recent years?

sounds good. I have been researching so much lately an really want to add these mods and see the results. however a possible job change may prolong my hwy driving. so im waiting right now to see whats happening. possibly a baumann shift kit and subframe connectors for now.
the old trac-lok still spins both wheels, so may just keep the 2.73s to fit my driving needs for now. ill keep you guys updated.
