rear air bag question

RE: raer air bag question
How serious do oyu want to get with racing because there is a better way to get traction. Steeda has a Traction Bar that links to the rearend on both sides of the differental, but it needs to be Dissconected on one side for street use(this only requires on bolt to be taken off) This way is a lot better then the airbag check it out at the steeda web site.

RE: raer air bag question
You gotta get the Traction Bar that im talking about then because i have done reading on the air bag and its not a great way to go its good because its cheap but the traction bar is a lot better. look in steedas website i bought it for my car ijust have to put it in, that a roll bar and subframe conectors will help keep that 347 power to the ground and keep it from twisting your car like a prezel

RE: raer air bag question
an air bag is an extremely cheap, EXTREMELY effective way to hook harder. the whole setup is like $35
(assuming you have a set of lca's and sticky tire w/ gears)
btw...no traction bar is going to keep the the left side of the car from yanking higher than the right...thats from the torque of the rotating engine
it's a pretty ez install, just goes inside the right spring, then a hose runs up into the trunk, where you mount a little schrader valve.
put air in it once your done (but you'll want to experiment)
i used to use 8 psi(all the time...a little more at the track but the car sat offlevel) and that worked well, and i only had southsides...which i absolutely do not recommend. i like hpm mega bite jr's waaay better.
when i did the southsides, my slicks were cutting on the wheel well , so i did the air bag to eliminate that problem...but was impressed at how the car hooked after i did it....very level, letting the left side get some action as much as the right i'd get low 1.7's w/ a 3500 launch.

RE: raer air bag question
http://www.steeda.com/ click on mustang then look to the right click on Hardcore(its under racers shortcuts) then scroll down to Anti-Roll bar and click on it. Trust me its the way to go for a hardcore launch. It is highly recomended over the airbag. I read a whole article on how iot was better and how the airbag is just a cheaper and less affective way to go.
