Default Front rim grinding control arm

So my front passenger tire is rubbing on (my have this wrong) my control arm. car is lowered with adjustable C/C plates. It has been aligned by tires plus and I question there ability....anyway. It only happens on the one side of the car when turning the wheel hard right. It hits hard enough to have worn a flat spot on the inside of the rim. see pics..

backspacing may be wrong as they don't appear to be stock rims for that year

I want to say they are 17x9, been a while...don't recall the width.

1.5 drop in front I believe

I haven't had issues as long as the rims have been there....this is something that started within the last year

My 17x9 rims will rub if I turn all the way to the lock. I'm surprised it hasn't been happening the entire time the rims were on the car... unless you just didn't notice. Cheap fix is getting spacers for the steering rack. Expensive fix is getting tubular control arms. Or do what I do and just be conscious enough to not turn all the way to the lock.

Goosepoop302,

If the rubbing just started and it's only on the driver side, then something has to be bent or warn out. Take the car to a shop have them assess the front suspension. It shouldn't take too long for them to find the issue once the car is on a lift.

Good luck!
