Default EDELBROCK INTAKES

Hey guys and gals ......
I did the search of the forums and still cant find the straight answer so ....
I am currently in the market for a new intake I have narrowed it down to the Edelbrock Preformer RPM or the Edelbrock Preformer RPM 2. My car is a mostly stock 94 GT. The motor its self is stock from top to bottom (except for a k+n). The car is a summer daily driver and only see the track twice a year with the local club. Which intake is a better choice ? Will this intake clear the stock hood / strut tower brace ? Can I use the stock throttle body ? Will swapping the intake confuse my computer ? How long should it take a shop to complete this ? No power adders or head swaps are planned in the next fews years anyways if that makes a difference. Sorry if some of these questions seem stupid but I a new to the mustang modifying world and any help is greatly appreciated.

I just baught the Ededdy Performer RPM intake and it works great, I heard the Performer 2 is a little bit better, that is if you have the extra money to spend.
I felt like with the Eddy heads and intake that are on order should be a nice setup to start. That is till I get the money for my Supercharger.

It depends on what kind of power you are looking to get. If you want high end power than get the edelbrock performer rpm, they make their most power about 5,000 (good bracket racing manifold). And the Edelbrock Performer RPM 2 is a great street manifold. Its functional between 1,500 and 6,500 I think, or something like that. I would go with the RPM 2. I have a RPM not and Im going to swap it for the 2. Good luck. If you still need a manifold in a couple weeks let me know. I might be ready to sell mine.

Thank you for the replys ... I am really leaning towards the RPM 2. Are there any issues with clearance with this intake ??? Will my computer get confused ??? I am also planing on install a MAC CAI with my setup.

I dont believe there should be clearance issues (Im not sure, I have a 4') but I believe that they would tell you that before you baught it, or they should. I dont think so and your computer should not get confused. But also, make sure that you do the upper and lower manifold, dont skimp out and just buy the upper. You will see much more power gains w/ both. You should also incvest in a throttle body. IMO do a 70mm. It will run well and you will def. feel a difference. Good luck.
