Default 19lb injectors with TFS Twisted Wedge Heads?

ok, kids... here's the scoop... just bought some TFS Twisted Wedge Heads 170s and a TFS Track Heat intake (woooohooo). Question: after install of such, will I be ok with my 19lb injectors for now (they are upgraded Bosch 4 hole injectors, recently installed)? Keep in mind I am not going to race my car at the track (I will, however, occasionally blow a ricer or two off the road). My mods - cat free exhaust, with BBK shorties and flowmaster mufflers - electric fan - 70mm accufab TB - CAI - SCT chip...that's all I can think of right now... my car is a driver... two three times per week... money is getting tight and I want to see if I can live happily without 24lb injectors and matching mass air meter (for now at least). I am trying to make my best educated decision on this topic, and appreciate/welcome all points of view and schools of thought!

Eric, I have a local buddy that'll let me know by tonight on his frpp 24's and matching pro-flo maf, it's currently on his car and he's adding a s/c so he's doing away with the set up, I can vouch for his parts, I did his h/c/i install. I think he'll do 150 for both, you know my thoughts on this matter

Awesome, Mike! Good looking out, brother! I would prefer to do the 24lb and MAF at the time of the install, but new those parts are about $500.00. $150.00 sounds perfect for used, and is about as far as I can stretch the budget right now! Can't wait to tackle this project with you... 8 more days...!!

I'll let you know tonight Eric, they are currently still on his car, I'm trying to get him to remove the parts before saturday, he has 19's to put in place of the 24's until he installs the s/c, he has the s/c so it's a matter of when he does it, he's just trying to avoid doing things twice, I said if he doesn't act now / by saturday, he'll loose the sale, so we'll see

I've tuned countless tf setups, I have yet to come across one that didn't exceed the capabilities of 24lb injectors

the ONLY way you'll get 24s to work is if you up the fuel pressure to 60, which then they will function as 28s

best bet just drop some 80s in it and get a meter calibrated for 60s, tune it yourself and be done with it

80s? You really think that set up will exceed 1000hp?

^^^ what the hell? 80's? He would want 24's at most, although it can live with 19's

In case that sale doesn't happen:
http://forums.corral.net/forums/wind...injectors.html

You'll still need the meter, but I bet it would be hard to find for $100

Pressure is a ****ty alternative for volume. Who taught you to tune? Get your money back.

19# injectors would be on the edge, 24# would be safe. Throw a non-factory cam or bigger rockers into the mix, and I'd say you definitely need the 24# injectors.
