Default Idel problem - getting worse

Welp its stalling all the time now! I donno what it is, I think its the cold weather, so I put the scaner to it, and i think its the idel position sensor, so Im changing that tomorrow hopefully it fixes it, if not then ill be upset. When i sit at a stop light I have to hold the pedal in to make it idel right or it will shut off . Do you think its the idel position sensor?

Could be number of things.
Vacum leak,
Timing,
Trottle Position Sensor,
Dirty EGR,
Dirty injectors
Thats just off the top of my head.

I wouldn't just through parts at it. Try diagnosing the problem before you install something you don't need. Look in your engine compartment for disconnected vacuum hoses or electrical connectors. If you have access to a vacuum gauge hook it up to a vacuum line and see what your vacuum is. Should be between 18-21 in/hg. I willing to bet a vacuum leak is your problem.

i scanned my 89 gt and it said idle position sensor low voltage. so i changed the injector harness and it fixed it. took couple of hours and cost me $30 for used one. might be the same in your case.
