My car was sitting for about a week i go to start it up as usual and expecting the normal fuel pump whine before it starts but instead a strange quiet grinding sound and it would not start when i cranked it. Not sure what fuel pump i have but definitely aftermarket.

well if its cranking over good just not getting fuel , I guess you probly know what that means considering the fuel pump sounds like its grinding.

How much fuel is in the tank ?

Is it possible that you have a small leak possibly letting air into the fuel line? Maybe once all the air is purged it will start.

Just trying to be positive lol but if it is grinding from the tank man its more than likely a bad pump.

False Alarm! It happened to be that my battery was dead because it was daylight out and I checked to see if my gauges or headlights would go on and mess around with my tach shift light and it didn't work. Jumped the car and the fuel pump whined back up haha. When something sounds odd or out of the ordinary I always expect the worst possible outcome. Thanks for the response anyway. You know how these mustangs can be!

Lol glad that's all it was.
I assumed it was cranking over ok, if you would have said it wasn't cranking good I would have suggested jumping lol
