Default aod stall question

T5 guy here with a aod question. I just bought a 91 with a built aod. Supposed to be fully built lentech with silver fox valve body with a switch for manual or auto valve body. My question is it stalls very low. Stalling up it will spin Tires at 1200-1300 rpm. At idle you hav to hold brake hard so it wont take off. Is it the converter scrwed up maybe? Anything else it could be? Thanks

If you have to be hard on the brakes at idle to keep it from going, well something doesn't sound right to me. I'd dig alittle deeper, as in contact Lentech, Silver Fox.

I don't kno if its supposed to but when im n neutral or park it idles perfect at 800rpm but soon as I put it in Gear it idles up to 1500or so. It will take off and go thru the gears up to 3rd gear and ill never touch gas pedal. To like 25mph

stock stall! sorry!
on my ex AOD I had a 2800 stall and wheels spun at about 1800-1900 with street drags! I would go with nothing lower than a 3200 stall!!

My 85 AOD with start turning the tires around 1300 RPM as well. Mine is stock so I ordered a 2300-2500 locking stall and have to get it put in soon. Please give us more details on the raised idle in gear. Vacuum leak? What is your vacuum readings at idle in gear and out of gear and start there. Anyone know if the symptoms could bre realy or electrical?
