Default Rear control arm bushings replacement

Recently I bought a 8 bushings urethane kit to renew the original rear control arms, on my '79 Fox. Unfortunately the bushings are delivered with the inside sleeves but without the outside shells. Does anyone know if I could purchase these shells separately and where ? I don't wish to reuse the existings. Thanks.

There is no need to try to replace the outside bushing housing. They are an integral part of the control arms.

Plan B, that most of us do, is to replace the control arms. This gives us new bushings already installed, plus a stiffer control arm that doesn't flex as much.

I definitely recommend replacing the whole control arms with something like this:

Replacement control arms gives you only 6 new bushings. There are a total of 8 on the rear. The two that don’t come with control arms are the ones that are on the upper right & left of the differential housing. To get a complete job, you need all 8 replaced.

I recently replaced the rear control arm bushings on my wifey’s mustang. Its not a hard job at all. I even made a video of it and posted it up on YouTube. Hope it helps someone out.
