Default Head bolts

Where do the 2 lower head bolts with the studs go on the heads? I was too cavalier taking it apart awhile ago and forgot which hole they go into.

None of the head bolts from the factory are studs. Which bolts are you talking about?

Its in this Victor Reinz kit. There are 10 non stud ones so does the stud one go somewhere else?

Are you talking about valve cover bolts?

The ones on the passenger side were to fasten the 2 smog pump tubes to , so as long as they are in the correct location for that it doesn't matter.

If you don't have the smog tubes any longer it makes no difference.

I dont think its the valve covers, they look a lot bigger. Thats weird unless you're referring to the wrong bolts lol

Me neither lol. Only educated guess I could make is that they would go in the bolt holes that have the alignment dowels, but I have no idea why

I think its for attatching something maybe a oil dip stick tube or something, I have an 89 block in my 94 and they don't have those types of studs...

Just a question op , are you reusing those bolts or are they new?

I cant find any information on the Victor Reinz bolts as to if they are TTY or if you can reuse them , according to them it says to always use new head bolts ,so I would assume they mean that they are TTY

I don't know of any ford cylinder head that uses a dipstick through the head. Only the block and timing cover is used

Yea I know but that bolt with the stud on it would be one of the out side short head bolts and the stud could be used to fasten something else on it.
