Default Help, car wont start after new mods

I was installing a shift kit, and a I ended up deciding to do some minor engine mods as well on my 90 fox. Cai, pulleys, 65mm t/b and a c&l maf. All of this I have done numerous times before. Yet I ran into problems this time. After installing everything, the car will either crank and not start, start up and be fine for a few sec and die, or just sound like crap cranking and almost like a backfire from intake (almost). I checked the tps, played with the c&l, tried to adjust throttle screw. Nothing helps.

I had the dizzy out for a min, to fix a heater pipe leak but dizzy is back in the correct way etc. Damn batt died, and I had it recharged, and it actually fired up once and idled well for about 10sec and then died. Upon restart it would not start and sounded like crap while cranking. I have no clue what the issue could cause this inconsistent behavior.

Any ideas that I should check, which would cause these issues. Im thinking I have overlooked something upon putting these mods on, or something is amiss with one of the new items.

How did you confirm that the dizzy was back in correctly? It is very easy to get it a couple teeth off and either be way far advanced or way far retarded.

I would get a timing light on it and have someone crank it for your while you check the timing.
Or bring the number 1 up to tdc and restab.

You're absolutely sure the distributor was stabbed correctly? Is that maf calibrated or tuned for 19 lb injectors?

Hey guys, thanks a lot. I was unaware the dizzy could be go in like that. I thought its either straight or 180 degrees out. If it can be a few teeth off, that maybe my issue. Something is def amiss. You can hear it while cranking, sounds horrible, and if it does start it maybe ok for a few sec and then like crap and dies.

The maf I cant be 100% sure, its used from corral, ima get in the garage and put on stock maf see if that eliminates the c&l as the problem. And as soon as I can have someone else here to crank car, ill get that timing light on it.
