Default Gt40 head & intake Swap ??

Ok I have a 95 5.0 5speed

Exsisting Mods

Rear gears 3.73
Smog removed bypassed w/ shorter belt
BBK headers
BBK exhaust
BBK ignition, dizzy, cap, rotor, wires, Coil pak
BBK 70mm Throttle Body

Ok I just picked up a really inexpensive set of GT40p heads with upper and lower intake. My plan is to port the heads and intake some and install all of it. I am trying to find a larger mass air 75mm or so. I do also want to upgrade my cam at a later date(money issues) Before I jump into it all I want to make sure I have all my basis covered before tearing it all apart. I checked out the head gaskets look exactly the same, im also replacing waterpump, thermostat 160, and i know there are a few vacuum lines to do. . I have read a few things and want to find some info out.

1) Ive read some where that when replacing these heads that the gt40p valvesprings are NOT capable of handling the stock 5.0 HO cam and must be replaced.

2) With this set up am I going to have to upgrade to 24lbs injectors

3) How can find out if the BBK headers on my car will work with the GT40p heads

4) What Are my issues going to be when swapping out the heads and anything that im probably going to be missing.

My biggest thing is should I hold off and get a set of gt40 heads or proceed with the top end. Or should I hold off till i get a new cam and just upgrade everything at once.

Thanks in advance for all info

Looks like you've got everything except the exhaust manifolds. I believe the gt40p's need a certain header, i think mac makes them

Upgrading to 24's is a good idea, but not necessary yet at your mods if you want to save a buck. Even after your cam swap, with those heads, you'll still be safe. Unless your road racing where injectors might see 85% or higher duty cycle for extended amount of time, that would be bad. A quick run down the 1/4 or racing your buds on a safe street you'll be fine.

If you have the cash for 24's and maf, it's not a bad idea, you'll be set for any future mods. Just not "mandatory " right now.

EDIT: Sorry, reread your post, didn't see that your porting the heads. Get the 24's and you'll have a nice safety margin.

I also have a set of p heads on the way, except im having the trickflow spring kit 2100-100 installed which should give me .550 of lift. the stock cam will run fine with those heads. As far as headers, as long as your not running equal lengh you'll only have to change the #3 and I believe #7 plug boot. And do an EGR delete they don't have the hole. Which GT40 intake combo are you going to run? I have the tubular with lower ported. I love it! IF your having it the heads ported do the spring upgrade, the kit is like 185$ from summit. With gt40p combo keep 70 mm tb and goto an 80mm maf.
