ugh, heater core leaking.
So over the weekend I got my AC working on my 95 and got a chance to use it yesterday. The instant i turned it on I could smell the coolant. So this afternoon im going to bypass the core untill i have time to change it.
I know this is a huge job but does anyone have a link to a tech article for this or just some words of experience to make it go a little easier.

Naturally changing heater core is the best fix but is a real pain. You need a lot of patience, time, and some wisdom. My 88 auto started leaking early this summer so i by-passed the heater. Lacking skill and mostly impatience I started asking around. Core $80.-$95. Labour $300. up to $450. I took it to a friend's friend who owns a radiator business. He fixed and guranteed it for a case of beer.($29.95) He forced a pressure liquid in the intake tube till it came out the outake. Let it harden for a few hours, hooked up the hoses, topped it up with antifreeze and voila heat and air have worked great all summer with no leaks whatsoever. This is a summer car only so hope everything will be okay next spring. A cheap fix anyone else heard of this?
