Default SN95 crankshaft pulley

I've got a high milage 94 Cobra. I have been unable to get the serpentine belt to quit squealing. All the accessories spin freely. I want to replace the crankshaft pulley but I can't find a new one. I would even be ok with a GT pulley.

I can't use an aftermarket underdrive pulley because they don't work with the FMS/Powerdyne supercharger kit.

Any suggestions. Its looking like I need to find a used one?

Your best bet is a used one. I would go check the Corral. Are you sure its coming from that pulley?

Default Tensioner pulley..

With high miles, if you have not changed that pulley/bearing it is the most logical choice for the problem..

With the belt off, turn the pulley - if it feels/sounds at all rough - change it - or change it anyway since you have no other ideas/choices.

iirc the 5.0 explorer uses the same pulley/balancer setup so you can check the junkyard for those

I took the belt off and all the accessories are smooth, no drag.

The crank is the motive force and with everything turning freely, I think the most likely cause of the squeak. Compaired to a new underdrive pulley, the grooves do look worn, almost pointy. The odometer quit working at 214K so I guess things don't last for ever!

The dealership and online tools didn't show the Explorer as a cross over part, I'll check into that. Thank you for the tip!

He is asking about the crank pulley , no bearings there . At least not that would squeak. Just the crank bearings and if those are making noise then he has more pressing trouble.

OP : My idler pulley squeaks when the belt is on but if I remove the belt and check it it makes no noise at all. Only makes a bit of squeaking when tension from the belt is on it.
Honestly I doubt the crank pulley is bad. How old is the belt? ..

The most likely point for the belt to squeal is the ps pump. Check your alignments If one of the pulleys is even a half a rib out of alighnment it can cause a squeal. Usually the ps pump pulley if not put all the way on correctly it will be out of alignment.

The belt was replace but had no effect on the noise.

The squealing is will go away with about 20 minutes of driving or a shot of belt dressing but will return on the next cold restart.

I picked up a used GT pulley. I'll try it with another new belt since the current belt has been abused for many months.

I had an s10 that I replaced all the pullies, belt 3 times and it still would squeel after an hour. I traded the fkr in on a new one since I figured it was probably the Water pump. Maybe a a WP bearing on yours?

Do you have the correct length belt?

The used pulley and new belt were quiet at idle at first in the garage even worth some throttle. Later pulled it out for a test drive and it started squeling again.
