Default bad torque converter??????

ok so i am trying to figure out what is wrong with my car and i am leaning towards a bad torque converter. My car is an automatic 95 gt. when it shifts at low RPM it feels like when you would shift a manual car into to high of a gear? But for the most part it does not do it if i am driving the car hard.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Do you mean it shutters? If yes they make a valve to put in the valve body to fix that and a fluid change would also help.

Its been my understanding that the torque converter does not have anything to do with your shift points. Its all about fluid pressure in the valve body. I could be wrong on that though…

btw, an automatic will never have the same shift points as a manual. Just sayin’...

Transgo sells the kit but if the converter is damaged to much it may not fix it.

Mine is doing the same thing. What it sounds like is when your doing a pull on an engine dino, you can hear the engine bog and then will slowly come back to normal.

I dont seem to loose any power, you just can really tell that right after the shift, you can hear and feel the engine bog down and come back to normal and then shift to next gear.
