Sway Bars
 

Hey guys, probably a dumb question, but a friend gave me an extraordinary deal on an Eibach Anti-roll kit (both front and rear sway bars). My question is do sway bars and the polyurethane bushings put extra strain on any part of the suspension that I should know about (wheel studs, torque box, etc etc), and do I need to do any other suspension upgrades with them? The only suspension mods I have now are lowering springs and a strut tower bar. Thanks in advance for any help!

The only thing they may put more stress on is the end links. But im guessing that the sway bars came with new end links as well. If not you can get a set of energy suspension sway bar end links to go with the kit.

Really the only thing the sway bars do is help keep the inside tires planted to the road by transferring some of the weight from the out side tires during cornering.

That's what I thought. I just wanted me make sure because I'm still running the stock spindles and have not upgraded to the five lug conversion yet. I also just wanted to make sure that it would not stiffen up the suspension so much that the tires lose their independence when I go over a bump on one side or anything. I think it will be fine, but it's good to know in advance.

ran eibach pro plus kit on my 4 lug and it worked just fine. the kit did come with new endlinks. really stiffened up the cornering. your going to like them

How in the hell do you put the rear sway bar on!? I got the front on, no problem. The rear I cannot get the damn OEM clips to fit on to the new Eibach rear sway bar and push it up. Is there a trick or is there a part I need!? How did you do it!?

It really sucked having to do it to brand new sway bars, but i had to grind off a pretty good part of the swaybar so it would fit up in the control arm. If i was you i would just throw tubular control arms which are better anyways then they have a little bracket on the bottom that is super easy to bolt the sway bar too.
