Assuming this is an auto car, sounds like its time for a new trans.

Check TV cable at throttle body and trans, If it is out of adjustment or the end broke it may cause it to slip inbetween 3rd and 4th..

Or did the 93 come with an aode?
If its the aode , it may just be a sticking 3-4 shift valve or the solenoid.

How do you adjust the TV cable. about three weeks ago I had a different AODE trans put into my 95. Now between 3rd and 4th gear there is a deffinate hesitation between shifts. I did not install the trans so Im not sure it the adjustments were checked

There is no TV/Kickdown cable on a aode, its all controlled by the pcm.
