Horn will not stop beeping
Hello,
I am hoping someone can help me. I have a 93 LX. It was sitting in the garage for a while and the battery died. I charged the battery and now when I connect the cables the horn starts going off. It almost seems like an alarm. I cannot get it to turn off. I can get the car to start but the horn will continue to beep.
Does anyone know what this is and how to correct it?

Thanks for the info. I checked and I did not see anything that looked like an alarm but it's a mess under there. Someone installed a power sunroof and there are wires every where. I have a 90 GT so I used that as a reference and everything looked correct.
I took the horn fuse out and connected the battery. The hazards are flashing. The door chime is going off even with no keys in it and there is a clicking under the dash. I think I just need to take it some where and have them look at it.
Thanks for all the help.

Well this makes absolutely no sense. I removed the fuse for the horn on the mustang so I could attempt to figure out what was wrong. After 5 minutes of the hazards going off and a clicking it just stopped and everything is fine now. I think the system needed a reset and I just did not give it enough time because the horn was going off before? I'm confused but won't look a gift horse in the mouth
