clutch cable problems

When i bought my mustang the guy before me had put in a spec stage 2 clutch kit and also had put in a steeda clutch cable and quadrant kit. I ended up replacing the clutch kit and flywheel and put it back to stock and also put in a stock clutch cable. I keep having the problem of braking cables left and right.... they keep braking right under the dash by the quadrant..... and ideas what to do next would be greatly appreciated

I am wondering this as well, I'm having similar problems. I havent broke a cable yet, but it feels like my cable is rubbing on something underneath the dash but I don't know what, it will probably go soon

You are better off sticking with the steeda cable...it has an aluminum quadrant so that is probably why you are having problems with the stock cable...aluminum quadrants are meant to be used with aftermarket adjustable cables.

i already have the aluminum quadrant and the steeda cable but broke that cable and also the stock cable.....not sure what else to try.....i heard that rounding the edges on the cable channel on the quadrant would be beneficial to do, and also put grease in the cable channel also
