Default lowering thr front of the car

I have heard one way to lower the front of my 92 lx 5.0 is to use 4cyl car springs. Anyone recommend this or heard of this? pros and cons?

I've heard of it for racing. The 4cyl's have a lighter spring rate and when used on a v-8 car would allow better weight transfer to the rear tires. I am not sure what the ride height would be or if its a good idea on a daily driver.
