Default 1990 5.0 lx flooding, skipping isuess

I have had this car for 12 years. Never had any probs. I had installed f-303 cam, off road pipe. Everything else is stock. Has ran very great till a couple of months ago. It starts skipping an flooding. Flooding so bad you cant see behind you, an feels like its running on 5 cylinders. Some times you can crank it up an runs perfect the a couple of miles its starts doing the same thing again. Since then I have replaced TPS, an voltaged it at 1.01, MAF, idle air valve, both O2 sensors, coil, MAP, coolant temp, ign mod, cap, rotor, plug, wires, an 3 computers. Still the same thing. If anyone can me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks guys an gals. Carol.

Hold on, what's going to the junkyard?

I'm not the most knowledgeable here, but I'll try to help. First thing I would do is pull your plugs, see what they tell you. If you find 1 or 2 that are black, then maybe bad injectors or harness. I don't know if when an injector goes bad it defaults to full flow? Its odd that it doesn't do it all the time.

You could also pull codes to see what the computer is seeing.

patience grass hopper lol.. we are here to help just not 24/7.

First have you pulled any codes from the computer ? If not do that first.
Here is how.

Next check all grounds, including the ground to the back of the engine.

Also check for corrosion/bad contacts in your salt/pepper connections at the back of the engine. There is a write up some place on how to improve these connections by opening up the male terminals a bit. I will look for it and get back to you.

I know this sound impossible, but when its flooding an skipping, you can pull 3 plug wires off the right side of engine an there is no difference in idle. I have it on video to prove it. Went out there this morning an it ran perfect for about 5 min, then it started again. My husband is really shaking his head. Never in my life have I heard of this prob. on any mustang.

Ok, I have done the salt/pepper connections. Still got the same prob. The hard codes are TPS an EGR. Bought new TPS again, installed an voltage it at 1.01. Cleared computer an still have the same probs. Raw gas smoke an skipping. Went out this morning an it ran great. Got 2 miles down the road an it started the very same thing again.
