Throttle got stuck while driving!
The other day I was driving home and some ******* behind me was flashing his lights and riding my ***. So then he tries to overtake me and I got mad and downshifted from 5th to 3rd and nailed it . I went to let off at about 5k rpm just because I didn't need to accelerate anymore and it struck me that the throttle was stuck and kept going so I quickly threw into neutral and im not sure to what rpm it screamed out to but it wasn't good and I quickly wedged the front of my shoe under the throttle and pulled it up to stop it. Funny this happened because when I bought the car off the old owner a few years ago, he had told me that the throttle got stuck on the highway and he thought he had warped the heads. The car was pouring out white smoke when I first bought it but I was assured it was a head gasket which it was so lucky me! I don't want this happening again haha! what do you guys think.

First I would make sure its not sticking at the floor board , ie carpet or something.
I would also try to replicate it while the car is not running. Then look under the hood to be sure the linkage is not catching on something.
Check to see if the proper spring is hooked up on the throttle body linkage. I have seen guys run with out the spring and when they hit wot the vacuum wont let the throttle plate close back up.

Check motor mounts and trans mount
Could be the source of your problem.. when mine were bad/broken I had all kinds of "strange" things happen.
Mats causing the problem only happen to "Rice Rockets = Toys".... ha ha
