Hey guys need some help a buddy picked up a clean 96 vert he wants to convert it to a 5.0 got eye on motor harness and ecu I can do all the work just need some minor details hawed out. Are motor mounts different? Will trans which is auto work is it an aod in the v6's. And finally suspension and springs up front need to be changed ? Any. Info you can throw my way would be a great help thanks guys and gals.

The '96 is a pain and technically not a street legal swap in the US. If it was '94 like the title it would be easier, but still a pain.

Your best bet is get a whole wrecked GT. You're gonna need a lot more than motor and ECU. With the '96 as a starting point, the more fitting choice is a 4.6L. It's an easier swap to do and will give you more power. Do a little searching here and in the V6 section. You'll find a lot of info and a list of all the stuff you'll need.
