Default 89 5.0 vaccum lines and emissions

Ok I pulled the motor out to do a oil pump. before it goes back in i am going to clean engine bay up. I need to replace vacum lines. but I want to get rid of as much stuff as I can the smog pump is gone. I have egr can i get rid of it. also has charcoal canister. can it go? what about the vacuum line bank in the passenger back corner? I just want the motor to run lights ac/heater and windshield wipers........Power steering is nice to.

what all can I rip out is there a checklist that if I take something out how to wire around it, maybe we should create a guide. I know guys do this when they set them up to drag. I just want less clutter under my hood. simplify my life!

Sure you can get rid of all the EGR stuff, but the EGR stuff does not hurt power, decreases emissions, and increases gas mileage. If you have heads that support smog, it makes a lot of sense to keep the EGR stuff. If you do get rid of the EGR, you'll trip the CEL unless you turn it off with a chip. If you google it, or search this forum for this topic, you'll find plenty of information on it.
