Default No Start!

I just acquired a 1990 25th anniversary fox body. 5 speed stage 3 clutch k&n cold air HID lights B303 cam, Flowmaster exhaust, pinched headers, MSD super conductor with Accel wires the tires and rims are brand new.

The battery was dead when I got it so I got it started by pushing starting the Stang but I have now charged the battery and replaced the Starter Solenoid Switch but I can not get any power to the starter. The ignition is on and I have power because I can hear the fuel pump prime but nothing after turning the key and I am stumped.

Sounds like you could have a faulty clutch interlock switch. Or the wire that feeds the starter solenoid is broken ...or the ignition switch itself is bad.
notice the red wire that feeds back from the solenoid to the ignition switch connector feeds through the clutch interlock (manual ) or neutral safety ( Auto )

First check to make sure that the clutch interlock switch is functioning when the clutch is depressed I have seen them not make contact and I believe there is an adjustment there.
You need to test this wire for 12v when the key is put in the START position not run. Test for 12 volts on both sides of the interlock switch with the clutch depressed, as someone tries to crank the key for you .

Default Round 2

Thanks for the information. This is what i have done thus far. Replaced the Starter Solenoid Switch, cleaned all connections and verified the battery is good. I have yet to check the items you have stated but when I got the Mustang the former owner said it would need a clutch cable soon.

The clutch interlock switch has nothing to do with the cable. It is located down on the floor somewhere in the pedal assembly.
