Default 4.30 gear too much gear? and a rear coil over question

would 4.30 gear be too much gear with a 28in tall tire and a 5 speed....my motor will pull the rpm easy...i do drive the car a lot, but turning 3000-4000 down the road does not bother me..and is rear coil over;s worth the money and do they have to be welded in or are they a bolt in design...

IMO with a 28' and a 5 spd the 4.30 would be fine, you should be around 3000 rpm in 5th at 60-65 mph.

damn so the tire from the bottom to the top is 28"? isnt that big? i dont know. anyways. well depends on if its a daily driver and where you drive it and stuff i think is the deciding factor. if its just a track car you could go with any gear. i have 3.73's and i think im in about 2k rpms on the freeway. it is also good because my exhaust sounds nice around 2k rpms. also remember you will have to shift sooner, so hopefully you are a quick shifter to make up for the time.

what gearing do you have now? you'd be fine w/ 4.30 and 28's....i would guess it be very similar to 26's and 4.10's and i drove daily like that for years.

No he won't, the tires are matched to the gears, like bob said it will be similar to 4.10's with a 26' tire.
