Default Tune Question

Alrighty i have a question or 2. i haven't been on in so long cause i was planning on getting rid of my 95 gt but changed my mind. So i was wondering if i would have to get my car tuned with all the stuff i put into it or if i could just get away without it for now. So far i have BBK Pullies, E303 CAM, 70mm BBK TB, BBK CAI, 3.73 Gears, BBK Shorty Headers, and some shift kit installed that i got from American Muscle. I bought an SCT chip from American Muscle as well and when i submitted info about the modifications it didn't have a section for like the CAM and maybe 1 other thing. So i guess the question is would the Chip be good enough or would i be better off taking it to a shop and having them tune it right and rewrite the tunes on the chip.

I think with your mods, the stock computer will be fine. I have comparable mods plus head work, and was surprised how well the stock computer kept air/fuel ratio right on the money. Checked with a wideband on the street and track.

I don't know if the sn computers are more/less adaptive than the fox stuff.

Sn computers are a lot more finicky when it comes to cams and intakes mods, but I don't think the E cam will cause that much of an issue.

Best thing to do is get it all installed and drive it for a while and see if the adaptive learning of the computer will accept the changes.

Hey,

I am sorry you feel this way, tons of people including myself have been running these tunes for several years and have been very pleased with them.

Also, in order to run any tune on a 95 or older car you need some sort of tuning device and I feel the chips have been proven to be a great tool. I am sorry to hear you feel this way about the chips as well.

If you have any questions, or concerns with these tunes or chips I would be more than happy answer them, or if there was an experience that shaped this impression we love to change it or at least note it for our future customers.

There is no way you can change my mind. I sincerely hope that you guys continue putting out garbage tunes for 94-95 cars. As i have made several thousand dollars re-tuning the abortions that your people call "custom tunes".

Your guys haven't a clue how to tune 94-95 cars. End of story.

Hey,

If you are convinced, I'm not going to try and change your opinion otherwise. I respect your opinion, and there is certainly room for more than one tuning company out there.

We have tuned more Mustangs than any other company and sincerely feel that our tunes are some of the best tunes on the market. Most people are quite happy with the tunes we offer, and give us plenty of positive feedback, but we understand we cannot please everyone. If given the opportunity in the future we love to change your mind, but will not force the issue.

Thanks

-Dan
