Well, I'm back and I need y'alls help

Yeah, he said I'd be looking at 13:5:1 compression. Can't be doing that at all. But everything else in the build is solid. How difficult would it be to just put in some flat top pistons? I mean, I can just change the pistons right?

Blocks if done right are bored to the piston manufaturers recommendations and if done right each bore is set to measurements pistons require. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting/swapping pistons in your above situation to save a few pennies as it could cost you more in the long run.

if you get lucky and the bore is good and you find pistons that fit which is possible it would be a good idea to balance the pistons and the engine.

Just MHO but I don't really think that the OP has enough money to build a 363/370 to 500+RWHP and do it right.
Couple calls to quality race type machine shops and doing the math on parts costs alone will show what I'm talking about........

Yeah. Easy 8k full build with what I have right now for this engine. No worry though. I've decided to take the advice of another forum and take this slower so I started by ordering a TKO600 kit from hurst and a 4000cfm double fan setup from AMP performance. Then I'll save and do as you said mjr46 and just get an engine from Fordstrokers.
