i just picked up a 1992 'stang 5.0 really fun car, in love with it, but have a problem, which i want to know if any of you could help me

my mustang dosent respond when i stomp into the gas pedal, first gear through third gear work fine i could be driving slow then hit the gas and the car will repond like a motha, but once i hit 4th gear and i step on the gas it wont repond, it will gradually)sp) gain speed, same with fith gear, i can let the gas pedal all the way to the floor, and the car won't do naything it will just gain speed at a ceratin pase.

i don't know if this is normal or what do you think the problem might be, the previoius owner told me that he had changed the gears to 3.73, and bigger injectors other then that the car is stock

please help because this is driving me crazy

Is this your first 5-speed? Cause it sounds like it.

Are you thinking you have a passing gear like an automatic? Or is there really a problem?

that must be it, because in my bronco i step on the gas and it will go to the passing gear and haul ***, and no there is no problem with the tranny.

If you want to haul ***, you have to downshift. For example, if you are already in
overdrive(5th gear), shift to 3rd gear and see what happens.
