I bought a 1995 Mustang Cobra convertible three months ago. Great condition. One thing kind of is throwing me off for some reason. I do notice a very slight protrusion underneath the rear bumper, not exactly in the middle but slightly from there to the driver size. Two different mechanics told me that it is the airbag sensor. Is this true. Clean title, not accident history. I had a mustang mechanic do a PPI did not mention this, said car was great. It was then shipped out to me. Local mechanics told me it is an airbag sensor and to not mess with it. I don't want to mess with taking off the bumper and looking at what it is. I have seen some mustangs with this and other not with it. What gives. Is it just that Ford just does not have the best fitment on their cars? Car drive fine. Little confused. Gerald.

Get a picture of it posted, I don't believe they put airbag sensors on the rear.

Only ones I know of are on the front.
