NEED HELP WITH ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH CABLE
hi i recently installed the sr performance clutch adjuster kit and am having alot of issues with the cable. it seems to stretch a good bit in about a weeks time. at first the pedal had a lot of free movement. like it wasnt even touching the cable, so i adjusted at the firewall adjuster to take out the slack. fixed the issue for about a week then it came back. i keep reading that the adjuster is supposed to adjust where the clutch engages but for me its only fixing the complete free play in the pedal. i just dont seem to get the concept of how the firewall adjuster can adjust the clutch engagement point. did i install it correctly? i ran the cable correctly and had the firewall adjuster all the way in to begin then made the cable taught at the fork. i then had a little bit of free play at the firewall so i ran it out to meet the cable and the slack was gone. i just dont see how thats adjusting the engagment point. plus the slack always comes back. any help would be great.

Exactly what i was thinking. Also, by having the adjuster screwed all the way in will create slack in the cable. Your clutch should grab when the clutch pedal is about 1-3 inches off the floor board for proper engagement.

Cant speak on your setup but usually as the clutch wears the cable gets tighter and you have to loosen the firewall adjuster. Be sure its not too tight and killing your clutch. You should have about a 1/8" gap between the cable and adjuster if you pull the cable forward.
