Default AOD to T5 swap question

I'm looking into converting my 94 5.0 from AOD to a 5 speed.

I can get the whole setup from trans to computer for $500 but it is off of a 02 mustang V6.
I know the computer and bell housing won't work but will the rest of it work?

I'm thinking the pedal assembly would be different. I'd just get the stuff you need from a correct donor car. It's going to be a lot less trouble in the long run. Good luck

Thanks.
I did find a trans and bell from a SN95 with under 10k on it according to the seller. Could be though.
He said he took it out years ago and it worked well when it was removed but there is no shifter or clutch fork with it.
He wants $335 for both.
Is there a way to tell if it is low mileage or not? What should I look at?

When I picked up my used T5 off Craigslist, I contacted a tranny shop that knows T5s and said there isn't really any good way to tell if they're good. Check input shaft for excessive play, and he also recommended slowly rotating input shaft with your other hand on output shaft, feeling for any skips or clunks in all gears. That's about all you can do, mine has been fine for 5 yrs now still no problems.

But why did he remove a good tranny ? Proceed with caution lol

Yea, I asked the same question in my mind. I've seen it done before though.
Sometimes people change their mind about stick.

My father did the same thing in 75 to a 69 Javelin (390 ci) that he bought brand new. He got married (mom and dad were divorced) and gave the car to his bride. She didn't drive stick.

Thanks for your input on checking out the trans.
