i have a 1989 ford mustang 5.0 and when i go to start the car, the starter will not disengage. The car has already been through 4 solenoids and I'm stuck on what this problem could be. The car had a solenoid from an f-150 which seemed to work the best, but the solenoid still sticks. don't know what to do here.

I have seen guys go through 4 or 5 cheap autozone solenoids. My advice ??? get rid of the fender mounted one and go to a newer mini starter with the solenoid built in.
