95 aode to t5 swap
Is this a hard swap to do because I'm tired of dealing with my auto trans problems (and constantly hearing about how my gt is an automatic even though I got it for cheap kids at my school are just jealous) so I'm thinking of finding a manual out of a junk yard because I cant see buying a new transmission for the same price as what I paid for the car and would I need the drive shaft with it or will a drive shaft off an 87 fox fit the length

Here is the link I used when I swapped mine.

Your AODE will be a little different, you'll have to search here or Google it. But it gives all necessary parts needed and step by step instructions. Took me a full day, and the hardest part was the pedal assembly install. Take your time and have a couple Band-Aids ready, and something to throw in a safe direction, when you do this step.
I'll say this, it's the best mod I've done to the car !!! Strongly recommend doing it. You'll hear people say "night and day difference" on something they've done to their car, but this was really "NIGHT AND DAY" different.

there's a few decent ones around me that come with a warranty and have low miles for about a 1/4 of the cost and not to mention the great issue in having to take mine out possibly more than once

Where in Wi. are you? There was a shop up near Appleton that had rebuilds for $700 with core exchange. And last year, he knocked $100 off the price for some promotional he was running at the time. This guys specializes in the T5, stock or modded, and was very nice to talk to. Haven't seen the ad on Craigslist for a while though.

most likely , he'll want a t-5, that's what I want when doing t-5 builds for customers......equal swap........I usually sell them for around 550-600
