water pump pulley not fit?

Angry water pump pulley not fit?

Hi im doing a swap in my 1989 foxbody and im going from a 1989 HO 302 to a 1994 302. im using the power steering pump, alternator, tensioner, and crank pulley off the 1989 but for some reason the water pump pulley i have doesnt line up with the other pulleys and i cant seem to find the right pulley anywhere. thoughts?

The 94 water pump is different from the 89. It is shorter than the older one. You will have to swap the old pump and timing cover over to get it to line up.

No they are different. 94-95s are bastard engines.

They will both fit each block but the water pump side is different. The 89 requires a backing plate on the pump and has more square coolant ports. the 94 doesnt require the plate and has round ports.

I still have my 89 water pump so if I put that on the 89 timing cover it will work fine with my 94 block?

the 89 timing cover will fit your 94 block.

I have a foxbody timing cover in my SN95 right now.
