I have a carburated 306 in my 88 fox body. I have a electrical fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator on it. At idel it runs at 5 psi of fuel, and at full throttle it runs about 3.5 - 4 psi. I recently put nitrous on the car, and the nitrous manual says to run 5.5 psi of fuel at full throttle. I have adjusted the fuel pressure regulator, but can't seem to get the extra fuel pressure. The only conclusion I can come up with is that the nitrous kit is set up for 5/16 in. fuel lines and I am running 3/8 in. fuel lines. Any input would help.

Is it possible that you fuel pump won't give you the needed pressure. What pump is it?

It is a carter fuel pump. I don't know the exact specs. I did try to change the fuel filters, but that did not help that much.
