Default Camshaft?.

It recently purchased a turbo for my 94 cobra and I'm looking for a camshaft that would be great for my car and works well with the turbo. What would you recommend as the best camshaft to use for turbo on my car? Thanks

depends on what you want to spend The Ford F cam works well with turbos there are a few guys that made over 1000HP with them. But a custom ground cam would be the best. But why do you need a cam the turbo can make enough HP to kill the block as is. thats what is nice about the turbo want more power turn it up.

F cam is a blower cam.

Lunati makes a turbo specific EFI compatible cam.

I was going to say the same thing but hate to be a negative nancy all the time. OP the stock blocks are good to a safe 500HP or under after that it's a roll of the dice on how long it'll last.

They work very well with a turbo also. Like I said more then one guy making big HP numbers with them. Not all turbo engines need a reverse split camshaft.

Right, but the way I see it is why spend his money on something that he really dont "need" when he could spend it on something he does really need.

Im with you. A decent sized turbo is all that's needed for that power level.

I fully agree that any kind of engine mods for his car, is pretty pointless.

A good turbo (read: not an On3 unit) can easily surpass the power limit of the block.

Hell, my On3 70mm already has me at 565hp. And that's only 8psi. But I have alot more engine than a stock 94.
