RE: stang has no power won't start
5.0 coupe it can't be the Alternator as i'm saying the car won't turn over at all hell i don't even need a Alternator to have the car turn over. if Alternator was bad the car should still be able to turn over.
I'll try seeing about shorting out the solenoid as it never came to mind. yes all the cables are correct on the solenoid too so i'll try shorting it out just wasn't sure if ya short it out with the two bigger post or the pos post and the smaller one at the top. I'm pretty sure its the pos side post on the solenoid and the top smaller chrome post that has the 1 wire push on that does it correct me if i'm wrong.

That's right, from the + post that goes to the battery, short to the small post. This will test your solenoid and starter.
Shorting across the two large post will test the item you're using to short it with if the starter is working, cause it'll pull 100 amps or more through your shorting wire.
