Passenger window problem and door lock problem.

Passenger window problem and door lock problem.
So a couple of days ago my passenger window decided to stop rolling down. Now the switch on the drivers side doesn't work at all, but the switch on the passenger side only works when you push up. You can hear and feel the motor engage. I've taken the door panel off and confirmed that the motor does work. At least going up. I've tried switching the switches from the working drivers side window and still nothing. Suggestions? Also the door locks don't work when the drivers door is open. Once I open the door more than a quarter of the way the locks stop responding. And the passengers side lock switch stops working too when the drivers door is open. But the unlock switches work when the drivers door is closed and passenger door is open. Maybe some binding of wires in the driver door?

I'm no genius when it comes to electrical problems, but I'd start with testing. Test for power at the switch, after the switch, test the switch itself. A multimeter is your best friend on stuff like this. Good luck
You'll be an electrical engineer when your done lol.

I tested the power coming from all the switches and it's all within 10-11. I tried all the switches and they all work as well. I am completely confused on this. I will unfortunately buy a new motor and see if that is it. I really hope that is all it is.

check the wires going from the body to the door. pull the rubber conduit back and do and pull test. start pulling individual wires to see where the broken wire is. dont pull them incredibly hard, you dont want to break a wire that is not broken.

That's exactly where the culprit is! Went into the garage and started pressing on the boot a little big and behold, locks and window started working. Now to figure out how to do this without taking the door off. Look like I'll have to cut the boot off and replace it or just tape it back on. Thanks!

if you take the kick panel off the inside there is a connector for the door harness. unconnect it and pull the harness through the side of the car and you can then slide the boot off with out cutting it and fix your broken wires
