Ok I did the boost leak test. With the PCV hose (on the throttle body to the valve cover) on I could not build more than 2 psi at first. Then I found a slight leak on the passenger side header and valve cover. Then it started to build to 3 psi, but nothing more. I then took the hose off and plugged it with my thumb. It went straight to 10 psi then I took stopped because I didn't want any more than 10 psi. I found a very very small leak in the brake booster and a/c hose on the vacuum tree, but nothing to the point where I would say that it would cause such radical behavior that I was experiencing. I'm going to try starting it and doing a base idle reset tomorrow. Damn skeeters are vicious this year.
