Default I need stroker info

I am currently on my 2nd version of a 331. I had it built a year ago. After less than 500 mi. I heard a bad tick, then it turned into a slap. Ended up being a clearance issue with a single piston skirt.
Builder blamed it on running lean and hot. I disagreed. We came to a resolution, he bored it out another 10 thousandth and I paid for new set of pistons.
Now I seem to have a bad rod bearing. I'm not sure because I haven't torn it apart yet but I know the sound.
I am thinking about Nutting up and buying a 363 from ford racing, however I am still challenged by my current set up. I have talked to a new builder in Mesa AZ who said he will tear it apart and tell me WHY this happened. I'm not sure if I want to throw money at my current set up.
So I guess my question is, is there anyone here running a Ford racing 363, if so what is your opinion. Also, what car do you have it in. My car is a 66.
And last, is it too much for a 66 for a street car.

I assume you have a stock block. If so find out what your issues are before trying to bore to 363. I personally wouldn't go any bigger than 347 on a stock block. As far as after market blocks. Fordstrokers assures me dart is the best out there. Also find a new builder.

Lean could cause the issues of piston slap. But it is more so on boosted engines. I have seen it happen on a Honda engine. If your engine was .030 before and has now went .010 more that puts you at 40 and the is the end of Boring a small block Ford. IMO. Challenged by your set up? what are you referring to? is it still having problems or what? There is nothing wrong with the Ford racing stuff and most of the time comes with a warranty.

What block are you using OP?
Many early 302's can go .060 or more.
Also, who did the balance work and what hardware was used to assemble the thing?

It is a 92 block
The machine work was done by the same guys that assembled it
A local shop here D&J machine. They are the guys that sell the crate engines on ebay under the name Tuff Dawg
It is supposed to have a Scat brand rotating assembly
I am going to remove it next week to drop it off at another machine shop in Mesa
