I agree, it's different, but still I'd go back to a full exhaust.

And stop smoking menthol cigs, they're bad for you lol. Non- menthol are OK yet.

ok i got it fixed,number one was a junk napa tfi, put in a motorcraft and stopped all but a sl;ight idle surge,changed fuel filter,adjusted base idle and timing,got autolight plugs and took out platniums, ty all for your imput and suggestions

just as an up date, blown headgasket,per picture pass side had a felpro gasket on the head and the drivers side was stamped by ford, i,m sure this has been my problems with idle ,any thoughts

And Rats, good catch on the head gasket, what made you rip it down to find that? Possible head upgrade ? Perfect time....

started to see my overflow bottle filling more than usaual,notice the bubbling and blowbye gasses,lol

pulling the block out ,gonna fix the strut tower and repaint engine bay and motor, no head upgrades, ran strong as is,lol

Good to hear, and maybe take some pics of the strut tower repair. I'm thinking of tackling this on mine but don't know if it's worth it yet. Mine is to far gone .
