Ok so I know many of these threads have been created but I specifically want to know if early explorer intakes being taller have enough clearance under a stock SN95 mustang strut tower support bar and cobra hood. Has anyone firsthand installed these or had them on their car and knows a definitive answer. I've heard conflicting reports. I have the opportunity to get gt40p 3 bar heads and intake for just 300 dollars which I consider a good deal but would like to know if there are any complications with the intake aside from the elbow adapter. Im pretty sure it wont fit under the stock strut brace , but it should clear the hood just fine. I had one on my 94 but I had a 1 inch spacer between the upper and lower intake. I had to remove the strut brace and make a small notch in the under side of the hood. With out that spacer the hood would have cleared, and with a cobra hood it should no problem.
