Blue is right.....you don't stand a chance against the ls1.......if he mods it, you'll still be playing catch up........and a gt-40 set up won't cut it vs the ls1 expecially if he mods it....but that is subjective to what mods he does as well.......

Find a complete 8.8 rearend with gears already installed on Craigslist. I've seen them for $150-250. Best mod you can do for a stocker. And being a stock AOD, the steeper the gear, the better.
