adjustable clutch kit

ok, i've purchased an adjustable clutch kit with -- 1) adjustable cable 2)firewall adjuster 3)quadrant.

i'm not a tranny/clutch guy yet, but i assume i need to pull the tranny back to get this new quadrant on the clutch and all that, but do ya think i'll need to pull the clutch completely out to do the job?? i'm tryin to get an idea for how long its going to take to install all this crap. and i need to do it soon, my clutch engages MAYBE an inch off the carpet, standing on the pedal just doesn't even work sometimes. help me out :P

No the quadrant is inside the car above the pedals and you dont have to do anything with the tranny at all. Its not a hard job but it take stime to get the old plastic quadrant out of the car. the rest is easy from there

yup...all under tha car and on your head....do yourself a BIG favor and pull the driver seat out. you will be happy you did

removing the old quadrant is probably the hardest part...under the dash kinda

RE: adjustable clutch kit

no you dont have to touch the tranny at all it has nothing to do with the tranny the cable attaches to the clutch fork on the bellhousing

well do i need to move the bellhousing back then?? or is it all out in the open? i don't keep my car here at my house, cause i can't work on it here, so i can't just go out and look underneath.

no you don't need to move or take anything from the tranny...it's not hard at all...like everybody else says you'll be putting yourself in awkward positions under the dash.one more thing you'll probably need to grind the tabs off your clutch cable so the firewall adjuster fits right.
