Default Is it better to launch with top down?

I know that the Fox Verts are the heaviest of the Fox bunch and this might be a dumb question but I was thinking about this last night.
Would it be better to laugh with the top down or up?

In my opinion the weight will be distributed to the rear wheels for better traction but at the same time will create drag what do you guys think?

well for one, a track isnt gonna let u race with it down lol. but no.. having the roof down isnt going to help you.. i dont see how it would anyways.

yes it would cause us to laugh more, lol

you need a roll bar to run with roof down and it will hurt aerodynamics, and isnt that weight still before the wheels, you want it as far as back as possilbe

even w/ a roll bar you can't run top down...only a shelby w/ or other roadster can run that way, when they have NO ROOF AT ALL

but no, it's not gonna make a diff...just get sticky tires and launch away

the weight of a 'vert isn't in the top so much...it's in the added bracing. the top is kinda light

my lx 'vert aod weighed over 3600 w/ 1/2 tank and me in it...(and i'm only 140)

I don't think putting the top down shifts much weight anyway. like nitrous_bob said. The top itself is rather light. You would be only shifting a few pounds back.

certain events around PGH will allow you to run a vert with top down if you have a helmet/rollbar.
