What is the difference between long and short tube headers for a 94 gt 5 spd

on a general scale longer is better do to better flow, because no different size piping immediatly and stuff like that, also you want to have a mandral (if that's how its written) bent exhaust... better flow

From what I've heard, unless your car is pushin over 450 hp or so you don't need longtubes and they will actually hurt your low end torque.

shorty and stubby headers are direct replacement for stock
1 is an unequal length shorty, and the other is an equal length shorty

but they will both hook up to a stock h-pipe.

long tubes you need a new h-pipe cuz the collectors are about 1 1/2 feet past the old collectors , about where the stock h-pipe o2 sensors are.
in order of power making......least to greatest
1. unequal length short
2. equal length short
3. long tube

if you don't have smog laws...do long tubes. (no LT's have CARB numbers)

the shorties are not worth the money...you will add apx 5 hp maybe 2-3 w/ the unequal lengths

I got a set of MAC LT's, 1 5/8 pri, 2 1/2 col.... ceramic coated, 80 miles on them. I also have a MAC Pro-Chamber H-pipe (no cats). PM me if interested.
