fox running 200 degrees
the summer is heatng up and my fox is running at 200 degrees. she normally runs at 190. i want to know if it is safe and also want to take a 500 mile trip soon. i have 3.73 gears and dont know if the heat, temp, gears will hurt her on a long trip

200 isnt that hot, but if u want it cooler, i suggest changing the t-stat out for a 160 deg. and perhaps switching over to an electric fan if not already equipped, if the radiator is stock i have run into some with plugged tubes

not on a fox....coolest stat you need to go on a fox is 180 to properly maintain closed loop operation............as stated 200 isn't hot, and if all cooling system components are operational and your radiator isn't partially restricted due to calcium build up, then I'd do a 180 stat and a hd aluminum radiator with larger cores

I agree with mrj46.
It may depend on how hot your area gets, but I know around here (Houston, TX) the general consensus is 180 works best for around here.
160 is too cool, it never ends up closing during the summer, and causes other issues.
Your mileage may vary of course, good luck!
