Coolant leak

So just wondering if this a common problem
Previously I had a 94 gt and before I sold it I had a coolant leak but couldn't pinpoint it
Now the new 94 has that same leak it comes from the reservoir because I constant have to fill it
I believe the culprit is the water pump gasket because it seems to come from right under it
Please If anybody can shoot me some advice on this I'll be very appreciative

rent a pressure tester and test it to locate actual leak = simple to find with the said tool

^ +1 you have to find the leak first so you can fix it

Is the weep hole on the bottom of the water pump wet?

Crawl under the car, use a flashlight and look at the bottom of the water pump, there is a designed hole there.....if the area is wet you need a new water pump.

Is the reservoir cracked?

My car is a 1990...but I had to replace my coolant reservoir because it was cracked at both mounting locations.

You could rent the pressure tester as mentioned and pump up the system pressure to normal operating conditions to try and pin point the leak. My guess is bad water pump because you say the leak is "right below the gasket". If it is leaking from the weep hole coolant/water will blow back on the water pump body and make it look like it's leaking everywhere due to the radiator fan.
